The following article is great for all those people who have just forayed into the world of internet marketing. The internet-marketing bug has caught up on greatly with people of all kinds of ages. So this article is easy and simple to be understood by people from all age groups and all walks of life. This article teaches you how to create your own website and what are the pre requisites for doing so. It teaches how to search for domain names and pick the right one and how to register your website too.

When it comes to starting your own internet business, you need to learn how to set up a website. Now if you already know how to do this or you have got someone to this for you, you can skip this whole video. But if not, I will give you a quick run down on how to do it. First thing you are gonna need is a domain name. Now I always prefer a .com because everybody assumes when you tell them what your website name is. For example, if I say hey come visit my website, its marketing effects.

You are probably gonna go and type in marketingeffects.com. You are not gonna say marketingeffects.net or .org or some other extension. So how do we find a good domain name. Well it’s really not that hard. One of my favorite places to search for domains is domainspot.com. Now they and a lot of registrars will offer alternative suggestions if the one you typed in isn’t available. But I think that their system is probably the best one and the search is free. So let’s say I want a domain name about horses. Since know that horses.com is already taken, I am going to see in horseguy and see what we come up with.

And looking at the list here, I see that horseguy.com is taken but it has given me suggestions of other domain names that are available. And if I look on the right hand side of the screen I see that domainspot has given me a list of synonyms for the word horse and also for the word guy.

And it’s easy to change those. Let’s say I wanna take a pony, I will just click the little check box and click delete synonym. And for guide let’s take an example. And the cool thing about domainspot is that I can add in other synonyms that the list did not originally include. So I am gonna add in lessons and tips. All right I am just gonna go right down here and say that I only want .com extensions I only want available domains and I don’t want hyphen or numbers checked. All right, so once I click obtain results here it comes up here and I see horsesguys is. Now I think that one sounds pretty good. It’s pretty close to what I was originally thinking. And it also has my keyword in domain and I like that I think it’s especially helpful. So in order to get this domain I am gonna click on buy now button and it’s gonna give me a list of registrars. Now I prefer to use godaddy since I think their prices are good and their control panel is really easy to use and if you own a lot of domains that’s a unique feature you are gonna really like. So once you get to godaddy just click to continue.

And you follow their on screen directions to register the domain. Now once you have a domain you have to consider where you are going to host it. Now during the registration process in godaddy they are going to attempt to the lots of stuff that you really don’t need. But one thing you are going to need is that they are going to tempt your hosting. If you don’t already have a host in mind they do make a good choice if you are going to build the site on your own. They are very decent. And if you are going to another company you are going to need to change your name servers. That will be automatically set. And they will tell you what those are by email and I was going to tell you here how to change your name servers at godaddy. Just login. On the right hand side and enter name and password and click on my account an its gonna take us to a new page and once we are here we are just gonna click on manage domains and it brings up another page. Alright we are just gonna click the check box here that we wanna change the name servers of. And at the top we are gonna click the name server button.

And then once it comes up we are gonna just enter the name servers that the hosting company gave us. They are always going to be starting with ns. Usually they are going to be ns1 or ns2 something .com or .net. As soon as you put them in its gonna say you are gonna push enter, its gonna say its gonna take 24 to 48 hours. A lot of times it takes more. And now that we have actually got that part done its time to actually set up the website.
