You can publish or unpublish your items on or from FrontPage. You can easily reorder your items. You can easily change their access level and edit their content sections and categories your items are assigned to.
For example one of my existing content items with title ‘how to build a website in twelve minutes or less’ is currently set to be published on my website and also to be published on my FrontPage. If I go back to my public website you can see this item here. And if I want it to unpublish this item I will simply click this tiny icon here where this item will be removed from my public website but as you can see here it is still listed in my content items manager.
If I want it to remove it I would simply select it and click trash action button in action menu. So we have changed publishing state of my content item and if I go back to my public website and when I refresh this page this item here ‘how to build a website in twelve minutes or less’ will disappear. As you can see here it is gone it is not published on my public website anymore.
As you are thinking probably can be easier to manage your items using managers in your control panel but wait until you see how exciting it actually is to perform other operations with your items such as moving them to another location, copying them to another location, trashing them, editing them or creating new items.
